Strava

To sync data from Strava to your Motion Connected account refer to the instructions below based on the phone you have.  Data must first be linked to Apple Health (iPhone) or Google Fit (Android) before it can be pulled into your account from the Motion Connected mobile app.

NOTE: Strava's website does not indicate that it sends step data from Strava to Apple Health or Google Fit.  As such this connection may result in only distance data from Strava being credited in your Motion Connected account 

Apple Health (iPhone users)

  2. Open the Strava app open your settings from the Settings Icon.jpg icon in the upper right corner of the You tab. Select Applications, Services, and Devices > Health > Select the plus sign icon.
  3. Tap Connect on the next screen.
    1. You'll be taken to the Health Access page, where you can enable the sharing of data from Strava to Health. You can control which types of information Strava will read and write to Health. You must enable Workouts for the sharing of any data (cycling, running, calories, etc.) to work.
  4. Navigate to Settings Settings Icon.jpg > Applications, Services, and Devices > Health and toggle Send to Health ON.
  5. Strava will send data to Health, such as route information, activity type, distance, time, and calories automatically. Please be aware that route information from third-party activities (Garmin, Zwift, etc.) will not sync to Health.
  6. Install the Motion Connected App - tap the three dots then settings. Toggle on the link to Apple Health (iPhone).  Data that has synced to Apple Health will now sync to your Motion Connected account every time you open the Motion Connected app.

Google Fit

  2. In the Strava mobile app, tab Settings (gear icon) > Link Other Services Google Fit.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect your Google Fit account.
  4. You can confirm if your Strava account is successfully connected to Google Fit by opening your Google Fit app, and going to Profile > Settings > Manage Connected Apps. You should see Strava listed under your connected apps.
  5. Install the Motion Connected App - tap the three dots then settings. Tap sign in with Google, sign into your Google account and enable activity tracking(Android).  Data that has synced to Google Fit will now sync to your Motion Connected account every time you open the Motion Connected app.
